The Partnership is a forum that allows all interested parties the opportunity to discuss mutual interests, goals, and responsibilities.  This will also give them a chance to share information using the Oceans Action Plan (OAP) and the Inuvialuit Final Agreement as a frame work for a collaborative and transparent process.



The Partnership includes:

• Federal agencies, including the OAP signatories • Territorial agencies • Municipalities • Inuvialuit Councils • Other land claim councils and Committees • Industries with interest in the area

The Beaufort Sea Large Ocean Management Area (LOMA) is one of five priority areas identified for integrated ocean management planning by the Government of Canada.

The Beaufort Sea Large Ocean Management Area is approximately 1,107,694 km2. It is located in the extreme northwestern corner of Canada, and includes the marine portion of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
