Committe
The
Regional Coordination
Committee, which is the
overarching governance body for
the Beaufort Sea LOMA, is
co-chaired by the Inuvialuit
Regional Corporation,
Inuvialuit Game Council and
Fisheries and Oceans Canada. It
has 11 member organizations
including federal regulators,
territorial governments,
Inuvialuit organizations as
co-management bodies. The
Regional Coordination Committee
provides coordinated
decision-making, oversight and
direction for the development
of an integrated ocean
management plan for the
Beaufort Sea Large Oceans
Management Area. It is also
tasked with building a common
vision that considers the
ecosystem and all of its
users.
